So as I write this, we’re in the middle of the COVID19 “social isolation” period. Not 100% sure what’s going to be happening, but lockdown is possible, school closures likely. Most people are working from home (if employed) or potentially out of work (if they work in anything related to events, entertainment or hospitality). I’m one of the lucky ones – I have plenty of work to make my way through, and the ability to do it on my own – but our industry is hurting, and it’s likely to get worse before it gets better.
In the midst of this, it seems trivial to mention “musical successes”, although the last 6 months have been very busy on that count – production for CLEWS, the Vanns, The Dardi Shades and Pacific Avenue, engineering for Josh Pyke, Delta Goodrem and many others, mixing for a host of people including Dress Code, The Venice Queens, Weirdo and the completion of The Two Romans album I started in April last year (the 4 singles released thus far are doing very well).
I also produced and promoted a single by new Canberra based singer Alanna Vullo – my first experience of promotion and with 30k+ streams for a debut artist with no real profile, I’m pretty proud of our efforts!
